BIOTHANE PRODUCT CARE
BioThane is super tough and perfect for adventures, but as with any material it requires a tiny bit of care if you use your collars or leads in 'extreme' environments to make sure you're products last as long as possible. These steps are super simple & they really don't require much thought.

The biggest factor is to make sure you clean out any sand/grit/silt/dirt from moving mechanisms. All you have to do is run the clip under running water (whilst opening and closing it) to prevent any jams.
If dirt or chunks of grass end up in your lead or collar flaps, make sure to remove them so there is no extra strain on the hardware components. Grab handles or clip points on long lines can be good for picking up grass chunks!

If you use your products in sea water make sure you rinse it off the metal to avoid any tarnishing & colour change. For the same reason avoid harsh chemicals when washing - in our experience normal dish soap gets rid of everything* with sponge scrub. *everything you may encounter on a walk - maybe not things like biro ink!
CARE FOR ALL BIOTHANE ITEMS
LONG LINES
Wash off mud/dirt when needed with mild soap in kitchen sink (using luke warm water). Or wipe clean with damp towel. Leave to air-dry to preserve metal hardware.

Rinse off salt water and strong chemicals. Clean off sand/grit to avoid clip/buckle jams. If trailing line, remove clumps of mud/grass/debris when seen to avoid extra strain on hardware.
