Our leads can wipe clean for the most part, but for the extra mucky leads; you can wash in the kitchen sink with a mild detergent/dish soap. Make sure to let them dry out properly to keep the metalwork looking its best. Take special note to rinse/wash after use in the sea to avoid corrosion. If you use the lead in a gritty/sandy area be sure to rinse the clips under water every so often to prevent any internal buildup and damage to the mechanism. (This goes for any lead clip
